Day 1
(Thursday): Abu
Dhabi
Embarkation after 15:00. Enjoy a welcome drink
and meet your fellow passengers prior to the customary safety drill. Short lecture on
Khasab and the Musandam Peninsula. Overnight at Sea.
Day 2
(Friday): Muscat
We leave Muscat
by road for an optional full day excursion to the city of Fanja before reaching
Nizwa, once the capital of Oman and Misfar, a very old village where our guide will
introduce us to the Falaj, the typical Omani irrigation system and to the date’s
cultivation. The alternative for day 2 is an optional 1/2 day tour of Muscat.
Overnight in Muscat.
Day 3
(Saturday):Muscat
Early morning sailing from Muscat to
Sawadi Sands. Arrive at lunch time and afternoon at nearby island with swimming
and snorkelling. Evening beach BBQ weather permitting (if not deck BBQ).
Lecture on Omani history and on places of interest visited on day
4. Overnight Sawadi
Sands.
Day 4
(Sunday): Sohar
Disembark by tenders in Sawadi Sands for
your optional full day excursion. We will drive by bus to Nakhal and its
well preserved fortress and later on to Ain Towarath hot springs. After lunch,
we will visit Sohar and rejoin/re-embark the ship at approx
17:00. Overnight at sea to
Musandam.
Day 5
(Monday): Musandan
Peninsula
Reach
the Musandan Peninsula early morning. Sail along the fjords and stop for
a swim stop. Lunch BBQ on board. We will for sure sight some dolphins
shoals while circling around the Musandam Peninsula. We reach Khasab
around 17:00. Lecture on Musandam Peninsula. Overnight in Khasab.
Day 6 (Tuesday):
Khasab
Optional full day excursion with a
traditional dhow into Musandam Peninsula reaching Telegraph and Seebi
Islands with swim stop for swimming, snorkelling or fishing. Refreshments
and lunch. The alternative is a 1/2 day tour of Khasab. Both tours end
with a memorable Omani evening at a unique location. Overnight
Khasab.
Day 7 (Wednesday): Khasab - Abu
Dhabi
Morning excursion at Khasab Mountains. Early afternoon sailing to Abu Dhabi where we
will arrive late in the evening. Overnight in Abu Dhabi.
Day 8
(Thursday): Abu Dhabi
Disembarkation
9:00.
