Acapulco/Mexico The COLUMBUS 2 sets sail for days of relaxation in
the vast expanse of the Pacific.
Puerto Vallarta/Mexico "Buenos días, México!" - endless sandy beaches and the cafés
along the waterside promenade augur pleasant hours ashore. The azure blue Bahia de Banderas offers you
the perfect opportunity for whale watching*. Dolphins can frequently be seen around here, too.
Pristine Mexico* awaits you in the hinterland, in little San Sebastian at an elevation of approx
1,500 m. A visit to a local tequila distillery and a coffee-roasting facility holds interesting
insights in store for you, too.
Cabo San Lucas/Baja California Bizarre desert landscapes and a rich marine fauna
are the extraordinary treasures of the peninsula Baja California. The popular coastal resort Cabo San
Lucas attracts quite a few celebrities with its relaxed beach life, the lively marina and the colourful
markets. Here, a particularly moving experience awaits all "Flipper" aficionados - look forward to
swimming with the dolphins* including playing and touching in a special pool of the Cabo Dolphin
Centre. The following day, you can explore the breathtaking landscape on the Unimog safari*
through the desert. Past rugged rock formations and the characteristic cactuses, the drive takes you to
a typical ranch where you will get to know Mexico's customs and traditions. On the boat tour to the
rock formation El Arco*, you will approach a distinctive landmark at the point where the Mar del
Cortes and the Pacific meet.
Wellness and More on the Pacific Relaxation, wellness and plenty of time for the
beautiful things in life - these are the most important stages of your passage across the Pacific. You
may wish to get some physical exercise or discover entirely new facets of yourself - with a style
consultation. A massage in the OCEAN SPA lets your forget the world around you, an hour of Tai Chi
helps you to rediscover your own rhythm. Experts will show you how to create a harmonious balance
between health and nutrition, and a wine seminar allows you to combine knowledge and indulgence. In the
evening, you can experience first-class entertainment, and on the deck, the starry sky awaits you - for
a dance or an open-air film screening.
Taiohae/Nuku Hiva/Marquesas Islands Craggy steep coasts, green mountains and dark
volcanic peaks provide the Marquesas Islands with their natural charm. On Nuku Hiva, you can immerse
yourself in the everyday life of the inhabitants and perhaps stroll to the little Notre-Dame des
Marquises Cathedral.
Rangiroa/Tuamotu Islands The treasure of this atoll sparkles in all conceivable
shades of blue - the lagoon of Rangiroa is a jewel, the magnificent underwater world of which you can
admire on the tour with a glass-bottom boat*. In a sheltered area, the so-called "aquarium", you
can immerse yourself in the crystal-clear water and marvel at the abundance of tropical fish during a
genuine snorkelling adventure*. The history of the origins of black pearls* will be
revealed to you at a pearl farm, where you will learn plenty of interesting facts about the farming and
processing of these rare and exquisite precious objects
Papeete/Tahiti/Society Islands Take a little time to get to know the lively capital
of French Polynesia. In the market hall at the heart of the city centre, you will not only find
vegetables and fish, but also a large selection of souvenirs. Gather your own picturesque island
impressions* on the excursion to the east coast to the Arahoho Blow Holes and the sacred site Marae
Arahurahu. In the course of the jeep ride*, you will discover Tahiti's lush vegetation and
thundering waterfalls in a sporty and adventurous manner. The neighbouring island of Moorea*
already thrilled James Cook and will enchant you with fabulous views from Magic Mountain and from the
observation point Belvedere. The jeep initially takes you to a marae in the Paopao Valley before you
embark on a ferry back to Papeete.
