Ponta Delgada/Sao Miguel/Azores
Born from volcanoes, taken possession of by Henry
the Navigator amd today a popular stopover on Atlantic crossings - the Azores, Portugal's island gems,
are true presents of nature. On the main island of the archipelago, the city centre of Ponta Delgada
awaits you with typical Portuguese architecture, winding alleys, little churches and tranquil squares.
Ideal for a market stroll between tropical fruit and the treasures of the sea, moments of relaxation in
a roadside café or a walk through the peaceful Jardim José do Canto. Experience the island's marvellous
landscape on the drive through the Furnas Valley to the hot springs*, where the delicious
national dish Cozido is lowered into holes in the earth and cooked with the help of the volcanic heat.
Subsequently, the Terra Nostra Park invites you for a little walk. At the observation point Vista do
Rei, the crater lakes of Sete Cidades* calmly lie in front of you. The hike along the rim of
the crater* takes you right to the heart of the scenic countryside of this region. Via sandy paths,
you will make your way to the Miradouro da Lomba do Vasco and on to the small village of Sete Cidades.
If you would like to watch dolphins*, local boats will take you out on the Atlantic. The marine
mammals are frequently to be seen here.

As the COLUMBUS 2 cruises across
the Atlantic, you have plenty of scope to relax. Let your gaze wander to the horizon in the private
atmosphere of your own balcony, unwind in one of the whirlpools on the deck and give your body, mind

under the expert hands of the therapist during a massage in the OCEAN SPA, visit fitness courses such
as Yoga, Pilates or Tai Chi, and learn more on the subject of Feng Shui. You can even exercise
intellectually - join our brain jogging. In the meantime, you can indulge in the sophisticated cuisine
of the four restaurants on board. Are you in the mood for dancing? Welcome to the Martinis Club.
Beforehand, you may wish to listen to a staged reading or visit a show in the lounge. In the evening,
the bars are the ideal place for having an aperitif or a late night drink - and when the sky has drawn
its velvety black, star-studded curtain, movie fans may look forward to a "movie under the stars" on
the deck. Aboard the COLUMBUS 2, you can gather unforgettable impressions on your way to the New
World.

The skyline of the Big Apple towers high in the evening sky, and the
lights of the city entice you to go ashore individually. Stroll across Times Square, let a yellow cab
take you to SoHo or Little Italy or have a cocktail in one of New York's trendy bars - plenty of fun in
one of the most exciting cities in the world. Following an overnight stay on board, you will embark on
your return journey the next day.
