Valletta/Malta In a chivalrous manner, the city of the Knights of
Malta bids you farewell as your eventful cruise with the COLUMBUS 2 begins.
Naxos/Cyclades According to myths, Naxos is one of the most beautiful stones from
Pandora's box, which she emptied into the Aegean Sea - beyond doubt, the island will thrill you with
multifaceted impressions. Mediaeval Chora rests at the foot of a Venetian fortress.
Agia Anna/Naxos/Cyclades The beach of Agia Anna also augurs hours of relaxation -
its bays are sheltered from the wind, and everyday life seems like a remote memory
Mykonos/Cyclades
Enjoy your evening on Mykonos, where the love of life in the alleys, cafés and taverns turns the night
into a celebration. During the day, the island presents itself as a white dream - whitewashed houses,
towers occupied by doves and windmills literally outshine each other.
Santorini/Cyclades Since time immemorial, the island of Santorini has been known as
"kallisti", the "most beautiful one". The eruption of its mighty volcano characterised its scenic
appeal. In the evenings, the villages celebrate a feast for all senses on the edge of the caldera,
while far beneath you, the lights are reflected by the sea.
Kusadasi/Turkey From the pulsating port city, the landscape tour to Priene,
Milet and Didyma* takes you back to antiquity. More precisely to two of the most well-preserved
towns in Asia Minor and to the oracle sanctuary of Apollo. Impressive insights into life in long bygone
days can be gained on the guided walk around Ephesus*. Like almost nowhere else, day-to-day life
in antiquity virtually becomes tangible with every step you take between the temples, the city hall and
the theatre.
Skiatos/Sporades An island of contrasts - Skiatos harmoniously combines dreamy
towns where night is turned into day, dense forests that augur a wonderful hike and marvellous beaches.
The bright white sandy beach of Koukounariés is considered an insiders' tip. Framed by the green of the
pine trees, the divine tranquillity here is merely complemented by the gentle sound of the
crystal-clear waves.
Volos/Greece When the summer gradually comes to an end, the ideal time begins for
exploring the pristine countryside all around Volos on the hike in the Pelion mountains*.
Slightly to the east of the mountain range, individual rocks tower high in the air on which the monks
Athanasios and Gregorios built the first of the Meteora Monasteries* in the 11th century. In the
course of the years, further spectacular hermitages ensued. Modelled on the holy Mount Athos, they grew
together and today make up one of the most magnificent UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites.
Piraeus (Athens)/Greece Having gathered unforgettable impressions, you will leave
the COLUMBUS 2 in the Port of Athens.
