Monte Carlo/Monaco In the evening, your cruise begins on the Côte d'Azur.
Marseille/France The oldest city in France is crowned by a sacral landmark - the
Basilica Notre-Dame de la Garde, which towers high on a mountain overlooking Marseille with its large
boulevards and the Vieux Port. If you join the city tour / guided walk through the city*, you
will also see the Palais Longchamp. Aix-en-Provence* with its numerous fountains, gorgeous
boulevards and palaces of the aristocracy is considered the "queen of Provence".
Malaga/Spain Welcome to Picasso's native city* - today, you will be able to
admire both the house he was born in and more than 200 of his masterpieces at the Picasso Museum. A day
in Granada with a visit to the Alhambra* takes you right to the heart of an Oriental dream.
While the "red castle" appears rather plain from the outside, its inside reveals Arabian splendour that
is reminiscent of 1,001 Nights. Glamorous Marbella and Puerto Banus*, the city's sophisticated
yacht harbour, augur an enjoyable time.
Cadiz/Spain From the enchanting historic district of Cadiz to the heart of
Andalusia - visit Seville* with its magnificent cathedral and the Giralda as well as the royal
palace Alcazar. The white villages in the Sierra of Cadiz and the home of Spain's sherry are the main
attractions on your excursion to Arcos and Jerez*. The hike in the La Breña Nature Park*
takes you all the way to Cape Trafalgar with its historic lighthouse.
Casablanca/Morocco What a sight - the minaret of the Hassan II Mosque stands at a
height of almost 200 m. A gigantic sacred building, the interior of which you can visit on the city
tour / guided walk* through the dynamic metropolis. The royal city of Rabat* is Morocco's
seat of government. The kasbah dating back to the 17th century, the magical Chellah necropolis and the
mausoleum of King Mohammed V will fascinate you with their history.
Lisbon/Portugal You will approach Lisbon, Portugal's dignified metropolis, just
like the navigators did in their time. On the Tejo, you will sail past the fancy Tower of Belem and the
proudly towering Monument to the Discoveries all the way to the heart of the city. In the evening, you
can experience the Portuguese perception of life on the occasion of the traditional Fado
evening*. The following day grants you plenty of time to explore Lisbon. On the guided walk through
the alleys of the historic district*, you will discover the labyrinth-like Alfama and the
Elevador de Santa Justa, a historic elevator that connects the districts of Baixa and Bairro Alto.
Picturesque Sintra*, the historic centre of which is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, is
to be found in the immediate vicinity of Lisbon.
Portimao/Portugal The pretty port town in the Algarve is your starting point for
the jeep safari through the hinterland* past orange trees as well as pine and eucalyptus
forests. Enjoy magnificent views across the sea at the southwesternmost point of continental Europe on
the excursion Sagres, Lagos and Cabo Sao Vicente*.
Funchal/Madeira Ten wonderful days come to an end on the "island of eternal
spring".
