Piraeus (Athens)/Greece
Upon your arrival in Athens, the COLUMBUS 2 awaits you in the Port of Piraeus for a unique beginning.

Nauplia/Peloponnesus
Turkish- and Venetian-style houses, narrow alleys, cafés and taverns - discover Nauplia's enchanting historic district. A visit to ancient Corinth*, one of the oldest cities in Greece, takes you even further back in time. In addition, Mycenea and Epidaurus* also bring back to life the fabulous past. While Mycenea will primarily impress you with its circuit wall and the Lion Gate, the theatre of Epidaurus is world-famous for its acoustics.

Santorini/Cyclades
The presumably most powerful volcanic eruption of all times shaped this gorgeous Greek island. Particularly picturesque representatives of quaint Santorini are the villages of Megalochori and Pyrgos* with their narrow alleys, whitewashed houses and blue-domed churches. The hike on the volcanic island Nea Kameni* takes you right to the heart of the caldera. Sandy ascending paths lead all the way up to the rim of the crater.

Korcula/Croatia
Until midnight, the COLUMBUS 2 grants you time to discover a very special jewel - Korcula is one of the most well-preserved mediaeval cities in the entire Mediterranean region. Outdoor stairs lead you up to the historic district. Discover its beauty on your own initiative or accompany us on the guided walk through the city* to the numerous testimonies of Korcula's rich past. On the island tour with wine tasting*, you will visit Vela Luka and Blato.

Split/Croatia
The COLUMBUS 2 does not leave Dalmatia's largest city until late at night. Consequently, you have plenty of time for your own discoveries or the guided walk through Split with visit to Diocletian's Palace*, the magnificent residence of the Roman emperor from the 3rd century. Nature will thrill you if you opt to go white water rafting* on Croatia's rivers. By contrast, emerald-green and lovely are the words that best describe the Neretva, which is spanned by the world-famous bridge that almost appears weightless - a sight you can admire during a day in Mostar*.

Sibenik/Croatia
At the point where the River Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea, the Slavs founded Sibenik a long time ago. Its marble cathedral proudly towers over the maze of alleys of the old part of the town, crowning a gorgeous historic ensemble that is nowadays a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site - as is the historic city island of Trogir*, which turns out to be a veritable treasury of art with its numerous churches and palaces. The Krka Waterfalls* are also likely to be the subject of many a conversation on board - crystal-clear, their waters cascade over several steep rocks into a natural rock basin amidst the lush green of a national park.

Venice/Italy
Passing the fabulous Doge's Palace and the bustle of activity of the gondolas and boats on the canals - sailing into the harbour of the lagoon city is a very special experience. With inimitable elegance, "La Serenissima" bids you farewell as you embark on your return journey.
