Venice/Italy Venice wishes you "buon viaggio"!
Trieste/Italy On the guided walk through Trieste*, you will discover a
unique combination of Austrian and Italian influences. Here, you should not miss out on the opportunity
to visit one of the numerous coffeehouses.
Split/Croatia Life in the pearl on the Dalmatian coast has been pulsating for more than
2,000 years. This can be sensed on the guided walk through the city with a visit to Diocletian's
Palace*. For a speedy alternative, you may like the idea of white water rafting*.
Ubli/Lastovo Far away from the familiar routes, a dreamy little island rises out of
the blue of the Adriatic Sea. Hike through untouched nature or explore one of the most pristine
villages along the Croatian coast.
Kerkyra/Corfu The Achilleion* not far from the city is an impressive villa
in which the Empress Elisabeth of Austria liked to spend her holidays. In the evening, the enchanting
historic district of Kerkyra invites you for a stroll.
Sarande/Albania The visit to the ruined city of Butrint* takes you right to
the heart of an ancient seaside resort. Like in a three-dimensional book, you can stroll through
Mediterranean history from Antiquity to the Middle Ages here - an amphitheatre and Roman thermal baths
as well as a mediaeval Venetian fort await you.
Naxos (Taormina)/Sicily On the guided walk through Taormina*, your eyes will
wander from the theatre over to Mount Etna. If you would like to admire Europe's largest volcano up
close, you may wish to join the landscape tour to Mount Etna with ascent by cable car*.
Palermo/Sicily The colourful life and the ancient treasures captivated the famous
German writer Goethe to the extent that he spent several weeks in Palermo and Monreale*. In
Sicily's capital city, you, too, will be thrilled by the abundance of baroque splendour to be
discovered in the course of an individual stroll. Alternatively, you can enjoy the extensive views
across the hinterland from the temple in Segesta*.
Olbia/Sardinia The bright emerald-green sea earned the Costa Smeralda* its
name and made this stretch of the coast a popular haunt among the international jet set.
Calvi/Corsica The mighty citadel behind the walls of which you will find the
picturesque historic district is already visible from afar. A feast for all the senses - on the
excursion Corsican mountain villages with spuntino*, you will visit the oldest settlement on the
island and enjoy traditional delicacies.
Nice/France The French Riviera ensures a pleasant conclusion to your cruise.
