Learn More about the MS Deutschland

MS Deutschland - Combination Voyage 466-467-

Barcelona, Spain - Hamburg, Germany - April 22-May 10, 2014 - 19 days/18 nights

Begin your cruise visiting unforgettable cities in the Iberian Peninsula. Your first port of call is Valencia, the city of arts and sciences. Discover historical palaces and futuristic designs of Valencia, the art nouveau as you explore the old city of Cartagena and the buildings built by the Moors in Málaga.

Our trip to Africa is a rarity. Ceuta in the north of Morocco belongs to Spain, however, lies on the other side of the Strait of Gibraltar. The view across to Europe from here is an unforgettable experience.

The MS Deutschland is one of the few ships that sails up Guadalquivir River directly through the narrow gate into the city of Seville. Enjoy one of the most charming cities in Spain. The old town with the mighty cathedral, the Alcázar, the Barrio de Santa Cruz and the Plaza de España are nearby. Enjoy an evening ashore in this festive city. After Seville you’ll spend a day in the refreshing sea air of the Atlantic, and the city on the River Tagus Lisbon awaits you.

Galicia's beauty has been celebrated since ancient times. The splendid views of Cape Finisterre in the vastness of the ocean, the ancient paths of the pilgrims to the shrine of St. James and the many historic buildings will also inspire you.

Bordeaux, the southern French Baroque city is home to a unique wine culture and is an exciting stop along your cruise. It is only possible for a few ships to sail along the Gironde River into the heart of the region of Bordeaux. In Bordeaux we suggest you take a tour of the city, followed by a visit to one of the world’s most renowned wine estates. After leaving Bordeaux you’ll continue sailing along the coast of France to St. Malo, a town of sailors and pirates. Visit the historic St. Vincent’s Cathedral, where Jacques Cartier, discoverer of Canada, is buried. In Antwerp you’ll discover the beauty of Flemish art. Next, the ship sets its course for Germany. Discover the Hanseatic city to Hamburg during their Port Festival. Celebrate with us!
