Arrival in the morning at Katakolon (Greece). Close to this little port is the legendary site of Olympia, a treasure trove of ancient ruins and sumptuous relics.

A crossroads between Eastern and Western civilisations since time immemorial, Palermo (Italy) has been indelibly marked by the diverse cultures which have passed this way. The charm of this city of a thousand contrasts owes much to the atmosphere that prevails. The old town with its historic centre, particularly the magnificent 12th century cathedral, is testimony to a rich past. Not far from here is Monreale with its Benedictine Monastery and a splendid Duomo.

Day 9 -Cadiz (Spain)
Founded 3,000 years ago by the Phoenicians, Cadiz is the oldest city in the West. Located on a peninsula which recalls the conquest of the Americas, the town has preserved an exceptional and truly historic heritage. Cadiz is the gateway to Jerez, famous for its vines and horses, and is also the capital of flamenco. T he 17th century El Salvador Cathedral in Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles, and Santa María de la Defensión are fine examples of Andalusia architecture. The « bodegas » (caves) of the great wine producers are genuine masterpieces of industrial architecture.
