Ezequiel SPUCCHES
A "brilliant and exceptionally talented young pianist” according
to American pianist Rosalyn Tureck , he has won numerous prizes in big
competitions in his home country (Argentina). Supported by UNESCO and “Nouveau
Virtuose”, he came to work with Germaine Mounier at the Ecole Normale de
Musique in Paris. In 2002 he won the 2nd Grand Prix at the
International Piano Competition in Sofia.
Jean Marc LUISADA
Taught by Marcel Ciampi and Denyse Rivière, he left for England to study at the
Yehudi Menuhin School. In 1983, he was winner of the Dino Ciani
competition at La Scala in Milan and in 1985 at the Warsaw Chopin competition. His success has propelled him onto the international scene. A passionate
cinephile, he made “Feu Sacré”, a concert piece with Macha Méril about
George Sand and Chopin.
Laure FAVRE-KAHN
A student of the CNSMP (National Academy of Music in Paris) in
Bruno Rigutto’s class, she won a 1st Prize at the tender age
of 17 by unanimous vote. At 20 she recorded her first CD dedicated to Schumann, followed a
year later by another featuring Chopin. In May 2001, she took first
prize at the International Pro Piano Competition in New York, and
gave a recital at Carnegie Hall. She is recording all Chopin’s walzes (Classique d’or
RTL).
Marie-Paule
RAMBEAU
A French and Latin Professor, and doctor of French
literature, she has edited numerous publications including a work by
Chopin on the life and work of George Sand. She is author of a vast treatise entitled “Chopin
l’enchanteur autoritaire” and articles on
the composer published in the specialised press. She has contributed to several
scientific publications on Chopin in Poland.
Sarah LAVAUD
She started playing piano at the age of 5, the violin at 9.
Admitted by a unanimous vote in 1998 to the CNSMP (national academy
of music in Paris), she obtained very high marks in her piano prize, as well as for
chamber music and musical analysis. A prize winner at numerous
international competitions (Medal at the Maria Canals in Barcelona,
3rd Prize and Special Prize in the Francis Poulenc competition, Encouragement Prize at the
Arthur Rubinstein contest in tel-Aviv, and others), she has
performed in many of the great venues in France and abroad.

Your first port of call will be the town
of Visby, an open air museum and administrative centre of the Pearl of the
Baltic.
Then, journey brings you to Gdansk, a major trading centre for the teutonic knights
which has preserved some magnificent monuments from this distinguished
period.
Le Diamant then moves on to Rugen island from where you can visit Stralsund, one
of the Hanseatic capitals, before we head for the port
of Rostock. From here you have the opportunity
to visit Berlin, a multi-faceted cosmopolitan city interspersed with spacious
parkland, which is forever renewing itself.
And finally the former capital and queen of the Hanseatic
League unveils the secrets of her magnificent old town, home
to many superb 15th and 16th Century residences.
