Valletta/Malta Your cruise aboard the COLUMBUS 2 begins in this picturesque
natural port.
Dubrovnik/Croatia The sea of houses sparkling in the sunshine already
captivates the eye from afar and gives you an idea of why Dubrovnik is regarded as the "pearl of
the Adriatic". Behind the mighty city wall, more jewels will be revealed to you - on the guided
walk* through the picturesque historic district, you can admire gems such as the Franciscan
Monastery and the Rector's Palace. Having gained these inspiring impressions of Dubrovnik, you
reach the scenic valley of Konavle by jeep* - look forward to a truly idyllic landscape with
enchanting little towns such as Molunat as well as an olive oil mill that has been restored to its
original state.
Hvar/Croatia An air of lavender and rosemary is carried from the island of Hvar
across the sea and provides the inspiration for numerous discoveries. For instance in the
Venetian-style town of Hvar, which invites you to stroll to the cathedral in the historic district.
A veritable "Venice en miniature" awaits you on the island tour* to the picturesque little
settlement of Vrboska. The hike with wine tasting* along the dreamy coast augurs indulgence
for all the senses.
Trogir/Croatia The historic centre of Trogir is characterised by churches,
palaces and stately town houses. On the guided walk around the town*, you can admire
attractions such as the Cathedral of St. Lawrence dating back to the 13th century. Trogir's mighty
buildings and sunny, lively squares are only a few steps apart. Fascinating aspects of life in
antiquity will be revealed to you in Salona and Split*. Well-preserved thermal baths and the
amphitheatre provide evidence of the pleasant facets of day-to-day life in the formerly Roman
colony.
Pula/Croatia The oldest city in Istria boasts a combination of 3,000 years of
history and an urban atmosphere. On the guided walk around the city and to the
amphitheatre*, you will encounter attractions such as the arena, in which plays and
competitions once thrilled more than 20,000 spectators. In the Brijuni National Park*, you
can enjoy the untouched beauty of Croatia's nature during a train ride.
Ravenna/Italy Bella Italia - why not have a coffee in one of the cafés all
around Ravenna's Piazza del Popolo while getting into the mood for a stroll across the shopping
street Via Cavour? Ravenna's mosaics* date back to the 5th and 6th century and have earned
no less than eight of the city's buildings an inscription on the list of UNESCO World Cultural
Heritage Sites.
Venice/Italy In the city of gondolas, it will be time to say "arrivederci"!
