Alternatively, you can climb aboard an open-top boat and observe the local wildlife** in the lagoons of Walvis Bay. With a bit of luck, you’ll be able to spot seals, dolphins and cormorants. Swakopmund and the Namib desert** are likewise great destinations for a uniquely African experience. This small coastal city and its historical buildings tell the tale of Namibia’s colonial past, and if you venture out into the desert, you can marvel at Welwitschia plants that can live for up to 2,000 years. Afterwards, you can celebrate Christmas in style on board the EUROPA 2.

The course was opened in 1922 and redesigned in 1959. Certain holes are extremely difficult. The 12th hole, with its elevated green, is also known as the “Prince of Wales”.
