Alternatively, opt for a city tour** and visit sights including the royal palace and the sculpture park of Gustav Vigeland. Norway’s most famous sculptor fashioned this park, approximately 32 hectares in size, in an artistic process spanning 40 years.
Dive into the history of seafaring on the Bygdoey museum island** on your second day in Oslo. Besides Viking ships, you can see the famous balsa wood raft Kon-Tiki on which Thor Heyerdahl crossed the Pacific Ocean and the polar ship Fram, used by Roald Amundsen on his expeditions to the Antarctic.
