After the first three days at sea, land will gradually heave into sight on the horizon: Tristan
da Cunha, the most remote inhabited island in the world. At a distance of thousands of
kilometres from the mainland, around 280 people live in the British overseas territory, the
green landscape of which is dominated by Queen Mary's Peak and Mount Olav. In the little town,
you can visit the museum and the two churches or have a cup of tea at the other end of the
world.

On the shore of the widest river on Earth lies the
buoyant, tango-loving metropolis which, thanks to its historic city centre, is also
called "South American Paris". The busy banking district, the colourful houses made of
corrugated iron in Caminito, the grave of Evita Perón in the cemetery of Recoleta or the old
port district La Boca - experience the pulsating city, go shopping, drink a cortado in one of
the coffeehouses. In the evening, an encounter with the soul of the city awaits you - at a
tango show*, you will be fascinated by the elegant dancers and the music of the live
orchestra. Following an overnight stay on board, you will embark on your return journey. Or, if
you have opted to join the post-cruise programme* Buenos Aires and Iguacu, you will set
out to marvel at the gushing and thundering waterfalls at the border between Argentina and
