Miami/Florida Miami, Palm Beach, Key Biscayne
- begin your holiday by experiencing Florida individually*.
|
San Juan/Puerto Rico Thanks to the legacy of
the conquistadores, the American way of life and the numerous beaches, the
smallest island of the Greater Antilles offers a vast range of experiences. San
Juan is famous for its walled old city*, in which you can stroll across
pretty squares such as Plaza San José and visit the mighty Fort San Cristobal,
the statue of La Rogativa and Christ's Chapel. The elegant Condado
quarter is dominated by trendy boutiques and cafés. In El Yunque
National Park*, Puerto Rico's lush nature will unfold before you.
Countless bird species, ferns, orchids and gushing waterfalls enhance one of
the most multi-faceted forest regions on Earth that was already declared a
national park by Theodore Roosevelt back in 1903.
|
Frederiksted/St. Croix/American Virgin
Islands In the year 1733, the pretty island was sold to the Danish
West India Company, and Frederiksted still moves visitors with its
picture-perfect facades and cosy atmosphere to the present day. However, the
colourful face of St. Croix is also composed of heavenly bays, a tropical flora
and arid plains - exciting impressions* of a virgin island.
|
Jost Van Dyke Island/British Virgin
Islands Nobody knows whether gold treasures really do lie buried on
this volcanic island. What is true beyond doubt is that it was named after a
Dutch pirate and is the ideal hideaway from everyday life. White Bay is
considered one of the most beautiful bays on the Virgin Islands and
Foxy's, a bar, is regarded as legendary.
|
Marigot/Saint Martin The result of France and
the Netherlands sharing an island of the Antilles is an inviting isle under
two flags*, the different sides of which you will get to know on a tour
between Marigot and Philipsburg. One of the special features of Marigot is a
very French heritage: the exquisite cuisine of the gourmet restaurants. The
sparkling white beaches have been divided up equally among the two nations.
Bienvenue and welkom!
|
Gustavia/Saint Barthélémy The paradisiacal
island that is very popular among prominent figures from all over the world
is simply known as St. Barth. Experience its picturesque bays and little towns
on a panoramic trip* or set out by catamaran for an unforgettable sailing
trip*: relax under the awning, swim in the turquoise-blue water and enjoy
life.
|
Saint John's/Antigua Countless sandy beaches
fringe the gorgeous island, and it is not only their sight that will thrill you
on a catamaran trip*: simply relax, unwind and enjoy a swim during a stopover
on the beach. A landscape tour* past colourful villages takes you all the way
to the historic fortress Shirley Heights, from where you can let your
eyes wander as far as Guadeloupe. A stroll across Nelson's Dockyard will
reveal to you the present-day appearance of a Georgian dock facility dating
back to the 18th century that has been lovingly restored and is now home to a
yacht harbour.
|
Castries/St. Lucia The full beauty of the
tropical island will unfold before you during a jeep safari* to the
observation point Morne Fortune and a short hike to the waterfall
Anse-la-Raye. Alternatively , you could admire St. Lucia from a bird's eye
view* on a flight over the picturesque Marigot Bay, dense rainforest and
the island's landmarks, the volcanic cones Petit Piton and Gros Piton.
|
Bridgetown/Barbados Its British heritage is
evident to the eye: in "Little England", the cars drive on the left-hand side
of the road, the architecture is sophisticated, and the stylish afternoon tea
is part of the typical lifestyle. However, the island also offers
spectacular views across the sea - for instance from Cherry Tree Hill -
and insights into the time of the sugar barons. When we visit the Barbados
Wildlife Reserve*, you will be able to watch vervet monkeys. Or you could
treat yourself to a very special experience and explore the colourful
underwater world by submarine*.
|
Scarborough/Tobago On Trinidad's enchanting
little sister, the rainforest has been a protected reserve since 1776, and so a
hike* through the green jungle with its gigantic trees, its birds and
butterflies is an impressive and very enjoyable experience. As is the tour
by glass-bottom boat* during which you will calmly glide across the
underwater garden of Buccoo Reef and subsequently have time to go
snorkelling.
|
St. George's/Grenada On the charming little
Spice Isle* over which the English and the French fought for almost 100
years, you will perceive the smell of nutmeg in quite a few places. Witness how
different spices are processed here, revel in the marvellous views of the
rainforest at the Grand Etang crater lake and take a walk to the Annandale
Falls. Alternatively, you could set out on an unusual kayak trip* at
Grand Mai Bay: thanks to the see-through bottom, you will be able to watch the
iridescent underwater world while paddling.
|
La Guaira (Caracas)/Venezuela Unforgettable
days in the Caribbean end in Venezuela's capital. Today, you will leave the
EUROPA to embark on your flight back to Germany. |
