You can also experience the unique beauty of Iceland’s natural environment from the air on a sightseeing flight over fire and ice*. Look forward to an adventurous three days in the habitat of polar bears, where it never really gets dark at this time of year. Subject to weather and ice conditions, the Zodiacs take you to Ny-Alesund, where the world’s most northerly post office is located, to the picturesque Lillihoekfjord, to Moellerhafen, for a Zodiac cruise with Trygghamna as a backdrop and to Longyearbyen, the capital of Svalbard. Here, a small national museum is an invitation to go ashore.

The Polar Museum now keeps the memory of those days alive, and at the Polaria Adventure Centre, you are able to trek through a simulated snow storm or take a peek at a polar bear’s den. The Albrigtsen family - together with approximately 200 Alaskan huskies* which they train to compete in dog-sled races - lives on the island of Kvaloeya. You can look forward to an incredibly interesting encounter.

Small villages adorn tranquil bays, whilst the old fishing villages of Nusfjord* and Sund* with its small fishing museum appear particularly idyllic. Or do you wish to enjoy the fantastic natural environment during a hike on the Lofoten Islands*? Kayaking at the Lustrafjord* allows you to admire the magnificent panorama whilst getting some exercise. The Nigard Glacier hike* takes you into the Jostedal, which features many traditional farmsteads.
