Copenhagen, Denmark to Stockholm, Sweden

June 4 - 11, 2015
8 days / 7 nights on board

  • Architectural gems in the Baroque style, churches with domes so elaborate they seem otherworldly, palaces, fountains, gardens, canals, and the famous "perspectives" that criss-cross the city: at each street corner a new theatrical decor is revealed. We invite you to visit this colourful city where the atmosphere is rich with the splendour of the Tsars and the traces of the Russian Enlightenment.
Day & Port

Day 1 - Copenhagen (Denmark)
Embarkation from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Day 2 - At Sea

Day 3 - Tallinn (Estonia)
The unique character of the old town of Tallinn lies in particular in the perfection of its marvellously preserved architecture. Tallinn is the capital of Estonia and is teeming in stories and secrets. Its name means “castle of the city” and it was particularly active during the medieval period, as is demonstrated by the very beautiful monuments from this period that are still visible in the city.  Follow the enchanting labyrinth of cobbled streets in this medieval and mysterious city; admire its castles, cafés, terracotta-tiled roofs, chapels and bell towers. Don’t hesitate to lose yourself in the heart of UNESCO World Heritage Site.

10:00 am

5:00 pm

Day 4 - St Petersburg (Russia)
The capital of the Russian Empire from 1712 to its collapse in 1917, Saint Petersburg has preserved a unique architectural heritage from this era that makes it one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. A vast open-air museum stretching over the banks of the Neva River, the 18th century townhouses, the former residences of the Tsars, the magnificent cathedral and, obviously, the famous Hermitage Museum have earned it the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is no surprise that such an environment has inspired some of the country’s greatest artists – St Petersburg is the home of the Russian Ballet and the birthplace of famous writers such as Dostoyevsky and Pushkin, or composers of genius like Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich. The splendour of the Tsars and the traces of the Russian Enlightenment can still be felt in the atmosphere of the city today.

9:00 am

Day 5 - St Petersburg (Russia)

Day 6 - St Petersburg (Russia)

6:00 pm

Day 7 - Helsinki (Finland)
Helsinki is known as the “daughter of the Baltic” and this superb port city and cultural capital possesses great historical treasures. With its blend of European, Scandinavian and Russian influences, Helsinki is a city of contrasts. The different architectural styles are the perfect reflection of the multicultural past of the country and its capital. Discover the Lutheran temple of Temppeliaukion that was dug from the rocks, Finlandia Hall, the palace of Concerts, designed by Aalto, and the magnificent Orthodox cathedral. A city that is literally built on water, Helsinki is surrounded by numerous islands, some of which are fortified, such as Soumenlinna.
